From making and distributing holiday cards at assisted living facilities, to working in retirement community positions, and eventually to caring for my own grandmother in her home, I have always carried a passion for care and advocacy. My love of assisting with insurance was born out of a position as a State Health Insurance Assistance Program counselor in Virginia in 2021. I learned that advising on Medicare and helping seniors and people with disabilities\u00a0with their healthcare was the favorite job I&#8217;ve ever held. I advised on insurance, state assistance programs, technical assistance, and social programs in person and taught educational seminars,\u00a0wrote articles for newspapers, and presented at community health fairs.
